Blargh

Been off work with a right shit of a cold for the last few days. I dont get any sick pay either so I'm down loadsa money!!

The usual symptoms - Burning up, then fucking freezing. Headaches and Dizzyness. Thick, daemon like green snot which leaks out like a running tap with no notice. Face feels like I've been kicked and for some reason cant stop grinding my teeth!

Had loads of paracetamol and Beechams Lemsip things, which kinda work for a while. But, I just got some Brandy, as I hate whisky, to have with hot water an sugar. It's either that or some strongbow cider...

So anyway, I know I'm not the only one who is ill, seems like everyone has come down with it all at once!

What do you guys do when ill as fuck? Drugs, booze? Rest? Blargh....

I feel ya man...Just got sick a few days ago, and I'm not quite better yet...thankfully i just had a really fucked up nose and a weak feeling, but no chiils or high fever...

I think I'll be better by Monday.

Gah, yep its horrible. Just had a lemsip with brandy and sugar in it. Couldnt taste a thing and my head is still banging.

eat tons of raw garlic and sweat it out like a man...

still i prefer lots of tea/drinking

aye, might just go an have a nice cup of tea. I don't normally drink it but the last few days I've had loads.

Bless ya, I've got a rotten cold/man flu also. Lemsip is doing me good right now, I often found when using alcohol with a cold, that I did not feel it's affects much as my head was already in a strange state. So be careful coz then I'd drink loads and wake up the next day with alcohol poisoning, from spirits especially.

It does kinda work after a while though, I'm not sure if I genuinely stopped dribbling, or whether I just didn't notice coz I was completely obvlivious.

Probabaly the latter lol.

Urghh. I'm now on day 5 of feeling terrible, starting to think its more than just a really bad cold!

I actually just went in work, which is literally 2 minutes away from my house, and my boss told me to go home. So I'm back in bed with sweat pouring down my face and shaking like fuck. I should probably ring the doctor.

hot drinks and lots of sleep & when you arent sleeping take hot showers, lots of them

I've just caught this cold/flu that's been going around. I had a sore-throat on Saturday, but whiskey and warm water only soothed me for a couple of minutes.

Yesterday my nose was streaming and I began aching all over. It got worse every hour, until last night was a terrible nights' sleep, waking up every couple of hours having to flip my pillow so I won't drown in cold snot.

Ugh.

somehow I don't get sick much. I definitely subscribe to the theory that a certain amount of exposure to funk keeps you healthy and helps ward off autoimmune disorders (of which I think in the modern world there are many). Shanghai is a filthy city and I've never felt healthier (apart from being overweight and overworked).

Someones got the pig flu

According to the NHS website I have indeed got swine flu. I get the Tamiflu tablets tomorrow.

At this rate I'm going to have at least a week off work, unpaid. FML
