Guest EleminoP
I've been using Audacity for this. Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/50200-record-what-you-hear/#findComment-1154019 Share on other sites
Guest futuregirlfriend
Some people have said that they can display stereo mix, or 'what you hear,' or whatever if you right click in this bit and select show disabled devices. I don't see it. Not in Vista or 7. Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/50200-record-what-you-hear/#findComment-1154073 Share on other sites

Guest EleminoP
Hmm, I have the beta 1.3.9 version and I see the option under Edit->Preferences->Devices->Recording Device. Maybe that option isn't in the stable release. Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/50200-record-what-you-hear/#findComment-1154181 Share on other sites

Can't seem to record anything in Wavelab though. Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/50200-record-what-you-hear/#findComment-1154200 Share on other sites

Guest futuregirlfriend
Any joy? In my case I have to find something to plug in one of the onboard holes so I'm able to select my onboard speaker output as the default playback device, then stereo mix as default recording then switch around audio settings in whatever application. Kind of a pain. Maybe Jack for Windows will be able to do something. I'll give it a shot on the weekend. Guest Adjective
no i didn't manage to do what i wanted so i ended up using a stereo-to-stereo cable from the line-out, to the line-in the signal to noise was good enough so i'm okay i guess, until i have enough time to really dig into this. from scouring google results, it seems to be a common issue, and the solutions never seem to be universal but if you do happen to find a solution, please do share!
