ceephax Sparkle Motion Halloween Mix 2009

It's that time of year again, Happy Halloween! This year I've decided to go a little bit of a different route than past mixes. Instead of in your face scary tracks, this one is more ambient and slowly creates an unsettling atmosphere that brings to mind the works of HP Lovecraft. This mix is based on one of my favorite short stories of his entitled At The Mountains Of Madness. Go check it out if you haven't already. Anyways, enough babbling, enjoy!

Hope you guys like it! Atop, I've heard a few of your mixes and really liked them. At work and can't remember the names off the top of my head but one introduced me to the dubstep version of "One Step Forward" which is a monster track. The other was your tribute to Purple Wow which was great as I am really feeling Joker and that crowd this year. Karma, looks like we like a lot of the same stuff, def gonna check out some of your mixes this week! Anything you'd recommend to start?

Wow At The Mountains Of Madness is my favorite Lovecraft story. I am not keen on ambient mixes but I am gonna have to check this one.

I think my newest one is a good place (Demon Season), but also check out my ambient mixes (1 + 3 are the best) if you are in that kind of mood. Will be listening to your mix tonight after work.

Awesome, I think I am going to start uploading one mix a week out of my old collection on Soundcloud (which I am new to but love!) and posting it here. Thanks for the kind words, about halfway through your mix and it has a great atmosphere, love that Bowie track! And then Astrobotnia kicks in "Satan is good, Satan is our pal"...nasty! Will def check out more of your mixes, this one is really eclectic and great!

had weird dreams that I can't quite remember so I would say it was successful.....

I've listened to this mix properly now, meaning a couple of times, to me it feels much darker than last year's. It's not quite as enjoyable in terms of fun-while-listening maybe, but perhaps even better, quality wise. Nice, good, dark Halloween mix, I might play it next year at the party, but I fear it's gonna make the guests kill each other.
