Guest meneedit
I'm after either some stand alone or vst FX programs that I can run my alesis ion through. I've been using guitar rig to do this but I am somewhat limited as alot of the effects only have a few parameters and I prefer heaps. Could you guys please mention your favourite FX programs for sythesizers. (connected via an audio cable so I will need to be able to set the line-in) Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/50253-synthesizer-fx-programs/ Share on other sites
Guest meneedit
thats alright man. The same as guitar rig in that you can set the line in to whatever you want to..... for example my synthesizer is connected with RCA's to my sound card's external box and all I have to do is load up guitar rig and set it to "line in 3" Im after an FX program that has lots of FX: Phasers, flangers, chorus, distortion, split channeling, delays, reverbs. Most importantly, the delays and reverbs must contain heaps of parameters. Guitar rig's studio reverb, in my opinion is pretty average. Bubba69
how about a vst host? something modular and free like Usine http://www.sensomusic.com/usine/ and just chain whatever effects you want together. or chainer? http://www.xlutop.com/html/downloads.html or http://www.acondigital.com/us_EffectChainer.html or http://osw.sourceforge.net/ or http://www.tobybear.de/p_minihost.html. all of those are good, and there are more let me know if you need anything specific. You could also just load up a sequencer like reaper too. EDIT: you will need to download some vst effects too. don't worry, there are TONS. go ahead and check the sticky for free vst plugins at the top of this page and have at it. xy_politics
Not freeware, but I've just started investigating Meldaproduction's Creative Bundle, and I'm very impressed, particularly by the Multiband Waveshaper and Ring Modulator, in which you can define 6 bands each with their own settings and modulation routings. The waveshaper is also zoomable up to a very fine resolution, the first I've seen that does that, which means you can make very subtle changes to the transfer function. Been looking for that feature for years.
