Oh man is this CD good. SubConscious Records just released their 7-disc series of new releases from Download, PlatEAU, The Tear Garden, Otto Von Schirach, bananaSLOTH, Djoto and Baseck & Sonic Death Rabbit, all available exclusively from the label only. The label was started by 2 Skinny Puppy members in the early 90s for recording side projects which were a bit more techno-oriented. Over the years, their own material has stepped further and further into techno and IDM territory. The last few Download and PlatEAU release would probably really appeal to IDM fans, but most are unaware of these bands due to the obscure label and connection with the industrial crowd and not the IDM/electronic crowd. This is the first time they've released material by artists other than themselves (Otto Von Schirach, bananaSLOTH, Djoto and Baseck & Sonic Death Rabbit).

This release by Djoto I think would particularly appeal to the WATMM crowd...it's straight-up IDM and I am absolutely loving it. I don't know of a place to get samples of the album since the label hasn't released any, and it's only sold through the label. Djoto does have some other songs on his site though.
