Experiments carried out by doctors and professors have confirmed that the music of today is such that it does not only affect the brain, but each and every organ of one`s body. There is a close relationship between music and bodily movements. We find that people listening to music automatically start tapping their fingers and feet, as if the music is permeating in their blood.

It is also proved that music affect`s one`s emotions, increases arousal in terms of alertness and excitement and also leads to various physiological changes in the person. In a psychology experiment, it was found that listening to moderate type of music increased one`s normal heart beat, whilst listening to rock music the heart beat increased even further, yet people claim that music has no effect.

It is a very ignorant and misguided attitude to percieve music as a form of pleasure and passing of time, since the messages of today`s music follow a general theme of love, fornication, drugs and freedom.

This might not be so dumb actually. I think people listen to more music nowadays than one century ago, just because they hadn't any records(or few). Also the birth of the mp3 format, the ipod must have kick up music listening.

seems like you're hung by your own rope :spiteful:

edit : so ':'angry':' is now called ':'spiteful':'. Wait. You can't do this. If you do this, AST is another man .

it all depends on the music's.

I don't think they are necessarily saying in this quote that the raise in heart rate is a bad thing.

music can be considered a form of food, and within the vast amounts of sustenance

there are many different grades of food which have many different interactions with the

human fleshy parts and sense parts. Music i believe to be the same way.

There is an even deeper truth to music, but i don't want to be scorned

and ridiculed so i'm going to save that for the seekers :music:

very interesting ezkerraldean, thnk u.

what i meant was, music has never been unpopular, there has never been a time when people didn't enjoy music, in one way or another, just because music is more accessible today doesn't mean people enjoyed it less back in the day. also, the fact that they use the term "music", instead of "pop" or whatever it is they're actually talking about, bothers me.

i mean, lady gaga, umm kulthum, rdj, what's the difference? it's all just music, right?
