I work long hours at the mall...:-(

I go to B&N to buy books on music.

Here's what I C:

Bruce Springsteen

Nirvana

The Who

The Beatles

Bob Dylan

Pink Floyd

Jimi Hendrix

The Who

Metallica

Nirvana

The Beatles

Punk

Michael Jackson

Greatful Dead

Rolling Stones

The Beatles

Not that I don't like some of the above, but how cool would a book about IDM and it's roots, history, and it's future be?

Somebody make one......now

(at the very least a book about Bjork might fill the void)WTF?

Thanx!

A book about IDM from a member here would be 200 pages of elitist twaddling about the artist they prefer and why everything else sucks.

It's too early. You have to wait a certain time to judge a movment with objectivity. There are books on techno, from Pierre Schaeffer to Kraftwerk to Underground Resistance, because it embrance a longer time and it's older.

Simon Reynolds had a really good book on rave and electronic music up to big-beat: Generation Ecstasy

in the beginning, god created the synth and the sampler.

I already have the MOOG documentary... I live in Asheville, where he lived for the last two decades. I would like a more detailed history of the UK side of things....
