Unknown Artist Tracks on Drukqs Mispress

was just wondering, what exactly are these 'Unknown Artist' tracks?

could anybody provide digital copies?

i have a vague memory that these tracks are indeed known, but I cannot remember what they are. Google turns up nothing though so my memory may be off or I may be thinking of the SAW2 mispress.

Interesting; I'll have to dig out my Drukqs vinyl and see if these tracks are on it.

WARPLP92: side B has two unknown Techno tracks instead of "Omgyjya Switch7" and "Gwely Mernans" which are B1 and B2 respectively on the correct pressing.

I think we figured out the artists at one point (A fellow WARP artist?) but I can't remember.

Yes, I seem to recall the tracks were a mastering mistake... I want to say they were the Other People Place tracks that were out on WARP back then...

hmm, so i guess if joyrex doesn't have them then nobody will?

what about CATS? tried to PM him about it but it said that he couldn't receive any messages...

even if they're not aphex i'd still be curious to get digital copies :).

EDIT: hey joyrex how did you end up getting that early version of drukqs did richard send you a disc or did you get mp3s over the net or what? it would be interesting to hear more about that, i know the "quite good" story but not what lead up to that. how soon before the first leaks did you get a copy?

The whole video takes clips from the movie "Tromeo & Juliet", as samples from said film are in the song. That being said, the "Penis Monster" has been in every in-house Troma production since. I suggest you check it out.

The mis-pressed copy is trying to be sold at extremely high prices, I talked to a guy about the mis-pressed tracks; at one point he was going to upload them to me... guess he didn't want to sell the vinyls bad enough. He said they were def. some other artists tracks, which I already knew, I just wanted to know WHO. good luck finding them, I suspect you won't unless you buy it yourself :angry:

It certainly does - I've got a mispress of New Order's Blue Monday 12" with the B-side of Joy Division's Closer pressed on the B-side instead of The Beach.

the first cd i ever bought had classical music instead of some famous pop band. i thought it was a tricky intro but after 20min of strings & orchestra i brought it back to the shop. too bad, that mispress should have became of top ebay curiosity !!!!

I had Druqks back in late July early August, was sent to me on 2 CDrs (and the tracklisting was different then, in terms of track names. Kesslon Daslef was originally Kesslon Dalek, changed for obvious reasons). It was me getting those CDrs that prompted me to attempt to compliment Richard on his latest work, and set off the whole "quite good" chain of events.

I still have to dig out my vinyls and see if mine has the mispress...

joyrex, do you remember any differences in the final tracks VS the cds you were given?

ie: the different mixes of 54 Cymru Beats & Cock 10 on the 'drukqs 2 track promo' cd

I still have the CDrs, so I could dig them out of storage and see, but musically, I don't recall any differences (I remember because that was one of the first things I checked when I got the official CDs from WARP (which, coincidently, was my biggest purchase at WARP - I got the regular vinyl, CD, promo vinyl - cost a shitton and came in a HUGE fucking box at work. Everyone was like, WTF when the mailroom person brought it on a cart (!). WARP threw in a lot of promo vinyls for other artists, a shitton of stickers and postcards and other stuff. Ah, the days when I spent loads on music... sadly no more.
