am i right in saying that there are two different periods of the group that sound completely different? which period is better?

Early period imo, though it depends on your preference. Their last 2 albums are much more experimental, especially Linear Accelerator. It's beatless if I remember correctly.

i like the later stuff but the old stuff is good too

These guys/erm gal are the best. I love them so much I want to explode on the keys. To break it down for a tard, early D is electro in the purest sense. Later D is more ambient and tbh it took me a few listens to get it but my goodness it's the tits.

The last three tracks on Linear Accelerator and all of Calabi Yau Space is what I like from them. It's kickass McRadical.

considering the essence of their music, it would be impossible to produce it live. too many factors to control.

was a fan of Gesamtkunstwerk but only properly listening to Calabi Yau Space now after this thread. so far sounding sweet!!
