Oh this is for medical use? I thought cafe meant it was legal to anyone.... in Colorado they voted recently on giving anyone over 21 the right to buy cannabis.

haven't these been around forever? like in LA esp. You have to have a medical marijuana card but then aren't you cool to do whatever? Who knows.

I thought California was home to weed depositories, but never cafes. Do they actually serve non-weed items though, or does "marijuana cafe" just mean you can legally smoke in the establishment?

Because I'd definitely order a black coffee as I'm smoking weed.

wait a second, did anyone notice this?

Members pay $25 per month to use the 100-person capacity cafe. They don't buy marijuana, but get it free over the counter from "budtenders".

$25 a month for FREE weed?????? this must be some shoddy reporting.

its cold in portland right?

why do all cartoonist live there? pretty cheap to live?

i see these people on the streets here asking people to sign a petition for making weed legal. seems to me there are so many more important things to protest about before we get to legalising something which pretty much goes unpunished anyway and is available everywhere.

Not as cold as some places. It's pretty wet a lot of the time, especially winter fall and spring. So there's that, other than that it's quite temperate and lovely.

decently cheap. Its probably going to get quite a deal more expensive since its kind of blowing up atm

I don't think Pot will ever become 100% legal in the united states. It'll just get to the point where certain establishments can get a cannabis license of some sort. And it must be consumed there and only there. basically pot dens. This will intern create even more subculture to it, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. This will also be a long process with the more conservative states switching over last or maybe never.
