Blockhead - The Music Scene

This album is fucking great, maybe his best. Word has it that he's started composing in Ableton. I don't know if that's what makes the difference, but the beats on this album are immense.

It is great, definitely better than Uncle Tony's Coloring Book. Not sure if it's better than his other two, I'll have to revisit those pretty soon.

I love the samples of the couple bitching at each other, same that's used in Meat Beat Manifesto's RUOK? album on the track "Happiness Supreme".

there's not a weak track on it. my only gripe is that, aside from the first track, there's hardly any turntablism on the album. that's too bad because he can cut shit up.

awesome news, didn't know blockhead had new album out. I really liked uncle tony's coloring book, and he seems to get better with each release
