Alzado
I'm looking for something to sequence audio files with and use the occasional vsti, but my main use for it would be audio clips. I was a devout Cubase SX 3 user, but I honestly can't be fucked to install that beast and fuck around with the dongle and all that bullshit. Also, Sony's Acid sucks balls. So, how is reaper? Does it do timestretching well? Would it be intuitive for a Cubase user? Thank you internet! mcbpete
Reaper is chuffing brilliant. It's the first shareware programme I've registered since Scorched Tanx on the Amiga. I never read any tutorial for it but using it was completely intuitive. I've you've ever used Sony Acid or Sony Vegas (EDIT: I noticed you've mentioned the former) then your transition will be completely seamless. And yep the timestretch is grand (you have multiple algorithms to choose from). Just try the demo, it's well small and gives you full functionality .... Guest Drahken
Yea like you I ditched Cubase because it was such a hassle. I don't use Reaper a ton, just for mix downs, but its straight forward and easy to jump into and make it work. So I probably only use like 5% of what it can do, but that 5% that I do use is ace Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide all signatures I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily. Bubba69
lots of fucking features in this one. Yet the basic stuff is still pretty easy. But features scare me sometimes. Especially if you don't realize you have enabled one and it causes all kinds of problems that you can't figure out. Alzado
installed. looks pretty good so far. i haven't had a ton of time to explore yet, but the sniffing around I've done so far has been fun. I'm trying to use Deckadance as a vsti within Reaper. I've got it loaded up and everything seems to be working. but i can't figure out to record the Deckadance output in Reaper. hmmmmm......
