Young people in a night club don't want to hear experimental Aphex Twin. They have no idea who that is. IDM probably sounds like a venereal disease to them. They'd kick me out.

not true, i've been doing some djing and people have really dug a tasteful mix of aphex (or other electronic artists) slipped under some top 40 a capellas. the idea shouldn't be to accept what the standards are these days and go with the flow, it should be to strategically promote change via slow transitions into what is hip.
