hahah i bet only like 5% of if any of the audience knew what "aphex twin" meant. I would have smiled really big and shouted YES!, but only on the inside, not out loud. I remember that scene in C.O.M. though and did just that.

Because my favorite music is something that is very esoteric and rare, I tend to get very excited when I hear it in mainstream media.

I think it's pretty obvious Grant said that just to fuel the debate and get The Tuss more publicity. Considering he co-founded Rephlex with RDJ I'm positive he is just as aware as we are that it's Richard. There are still people out there who don't believe it's him spouting off on youtube comment sections and whatnot as well as internet forums & wherever else, causing arguments n' shit. More attention to his project. More records sold. etc. It's all very IDM really.

Yep, thats how it works my friend. Though I am sure if Tuss had Aphex Twin on the front cover, it would of sold 1000's more than it did. These little side projects are for beer money. When Richard needs a swimming pool or fancies buying a Lamboghini he'll put out his new Aphex Twin album.
