A quick question

Here's the question,

Do you think that you'd recognize Marc and Mike if you saw them strolling along the street?

I mean, there's not too many photos of them, and sometimes they have wicked crazy beards.

I personally think I wouldn't recognize them at all... who knows?

I always think I may just see them walking around, seeing as they used to live in Calgary Alberta (where I live right now). Maybe their visiting their fathers handiwork at the Saddledome?

I'm a dreamer... I wonder what I would say if I did meet them?

I live in Calgary too and I think of the brothers Sandison every time I get loser pissed at the Saddledome. I've lived here my whole life and I often think back to my childhood and if I lived in the same community and if I played with them. I'm pretty sure I did.

I would say, "You make great stuff, thanks! Buy you a beer?"

When the rohypnol wears off, they'll have undergone some of the most extensive brain analysis ever conducted.

Most of the time I don't even recognize my friends walking down the street.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

LOL

It's hard to have serious discussions since they've given us so little lately.

do you think the local culture somehow influenced their work?

do you see certain things around you that make you think: "hey this is why they came to this and that idea in what they did"?

I don't know if its just the general aestheics of the late 70s and early 80s or if it has anything to do specifically with anything in Calgary. Undoubtedly the National Film Board is among their biggest influences. I remember being shown numerous films (actual film not vhs) in classes. I also remember biking to the local library to borrow NFB films as well.

One thing that has always struck me as being particularly familiar is the artwork for MHTRTC. Along the Trans Canada Highway in BC and Alberta there are these small stone walls where people can pull over to learn about various points of interest. I found a pic of one, I doubt its the one on the cover but it gives you an idea.
