Diving Station & Sherbet Head

I used the search function and didn't find anything on this so I thought I would bring it up...

I was listening to Sherbet head in class today and realized that there is a sound in there that bears a striking similarity to Diving Station... Well, everything but the piano in Diving Station. After comparing the two songs I figured that they probably just used the same technique on both songs, the quickening and slowing down of a pulsing sound (sounds much more static-ey in Sherbet Head). But if you listen closely at around the 1:10 mark of Sherbet Head where the bass disappears I think you can totally hear the actual sample from Diving Station (without the piano). I remember reading that The Campfire Headphase was a call back to their earlier music, maybe this is just part of the theme?

Thoughts?

to be fair, i think you've just come at a time when most people are either

1. getting sick of BoC's output of late

2. getting sick of people moaning / complaining about BoC's output of late

3. really don't give a fuck either way

I swear to bejesus sherbet head is the sound of a rotting tape recorded inside a gym, the acoustic are just like a gym with people playing basketball. I even hear a coach. SHIT

Cool.

Apparently the not-piano from Diving Station is a voice. I haven't found any evidence of this of course.
