I used to run sound at a youth club in my town every saturday.

We'd either get shitty metal shows or things along the lines of this.

My personal favorite was a band of 7th graders who opened with an equally bad version of this, then moved on to Rock Show (at half the tempo, making it twice as long ) and then wrapped up the set with (can you believe it) Bombtrack! It was the most painful experience I'd ever witnessed. I then told them off for dropping all the mics hard on the stage in a youthful act of rebellion as they walked off stage. There were three people in the audience.

i don't need to see the clip, i know what it's gonna sound like. Still though i don't begrudge any kids from trying, they've gotta start somewhere and it's always badly. The dropping the mics thing though, that would pmiss me off.

i remember going into hot topic a few years ago with my friend and his mom. she said, "it smells like shit in here" and the woman at the register turned around and said, "oh really? smells like teen spirit!" she stood there for a second, with a smug grin on her face, and then went back to sorting magazines or something. she was at least forty.
