Always liked this tune man, most people I find cannot stand it now, because it's been played to death on the radio, but I don't listen to the radion so I still like it. There was a Skream remix also.

She turned up about a year ago, gettting lots of pr without having done anything, including a slot on BBC London News where she went around Brixton patronising black people. (Imagine Julian Casablancas being interviewd walking around Harlem, waxing lyrical about ethnic food shops) Sure enough it turned out she was quite well connected, mother is an actress and father is a bigwig in music/tv pr or something, can't remember. There's also a faceless producer behind her, with connections to Faithless (so possibly Dido as well), and they started out as some angsty singer songwriter type schtik. All this may or may not be important to you, the song is quite good, but it all leaves a sour taste in the mouth.

not sure if I ever could stand that voice for a longer period of time but about this specific tune, the skream remix is a huge improvement.

The only time I'd heard of them before this thread was when my mate told me he liked them. I thought he meant Danny La Rue.

She was also the voice of Soo the panda on Sooty & Co.

ive heard this tune while out at dubstep nights about 18,000,000 times too much. annie mac actually played it twice in one set, i mean wtf is that all about.

yeah yeah i know, but it was always going to become overplayed.

skream still plays it in every fucking set cos that's what 70% of the people at his shows go to see him for.

having said that, his lp is shaping up to be the tits.

i think theres two or three different dubstep mixes of it now isnt there? ive definetely heard at least two. unless it was just very skillful mixing putting a new bassline on it.

yeah, there are some remixes of the skream remix, if you like. re-edits, more mid-range wobble, etc. nothing to write home about.

on a side note, i'd destroy pixie lott with a broomhandle. gorgeous girl.

Fucking awful. Sounds like bad chiptune with overdubbed with someone wailing in pain. The remix is just as bad.

La Roux is dire electro pop but there will be some kids on here who dig it and will be afraid to admit, its the kinda shit i expect gets played regularly in the kitchens of Pizza Hut or the stock room of Argos. And if your over 25 and really digging this then you are just not making the progress you should be.
