Here is my guess : each unicode is coded with 16 bit, which means the maximum number of characters is 65536. The dudes who built unicode didn't have as many characters to code, so they chose to fullfil the last bits with funny smileys.

Yeah snow biking is great, basically you put the seat the lowest possible and you deflate your tyres a little. More contact patch, and the lower seat gives you a lower center of gravity.
