Koen Park (Ian Hawgood) Qwartz best album nominee

I am very proud and excited to announce that Ian Hawgood's 'Koen Park - Everything in Shadow' album on Experimedia has been nominated by for the Qwartz 6 award for Best Album! Those of you that dont know Qwartz is the world's most prestigious awards organization for experimental/electronic/new music based in Paris, France. http://www.qwartz.org/

Albums by 1089 artists from around the world were submitted and reviewed by a blind jury including Alejandro Jodrowsky, and Bernard Parmegiani. Out of the process only 7 albums were selected as nominees for the best album award and only 45 total in all categories.

Out of the 7 nominees Experimedia is the only US based label. And 1 of only 2 out of all 45 in all categories.

This is very exciting for Ian and I as we have been working closely assisting each other with our respective labels, and slowly but surely/carefully working on our collaborative project for about 2 years now and we have become very close friends.

The two of us will be in person for the first time at the awards ceremony in Paris. While there we will be attending the awards ceremony and have a booth at the new music exhibition. We also plan to plan some performances and recording sessions together around Europe. So get in touch if you would like to host something with us.
