Berk
I wanted to record 2 bits at the same time (stereo in able tn I simly made 2 tracks, picked channel 1 fr the first track and channel 2 fr the secnd track (I wanted to split the stereo into 2 mono tracks but the recording sounded stuttery and had crackles in it. the stuff you get when your system can't keep up I think. I assume it was because of recording two tracks at the same time, as it desnt happen when I just recrd in mono or stereo onto 1 track. Any ideas? Brandi_B
what program are you using? Wherever the asio control is increase the number followed by ms (latency) by a value or two. Should help the crackling, but then you could introduce too much latency which makes recording live quite difficult. Try upgrading your asio driver, freezing some tracks, or sending the inputs to the same channel one hard left one hard right so you can get separate tracks from one after it is recorded if that becomes your only option. edit: if you are recording in 24 or higher bits trying recording in 16 Edited December 15, 2009 by Brandi_B Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/51534-audio-interface-too-slow/#findComment-1188182 Share on other sites

Thanks for the reply Brandi. yeah separating them after recording them to just 1 track is what I thought about as well, but I can't find a single program with the option to do it :( Do you know of any by chance? (I 'm using abletn Live btw increasing the ms might help too, thanks as for changing the resolution (24/16 bit, I don't think the ASIo drivers that came with my interface have that option... it's kind of a cheap audi interface Edited December 15, 2009 by Berk Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide Berk's signature Hide all signatures Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/51534-audio-interface-too-slow/#findComment-1188186 Share on other sites
