El Topo

This movie is pretty great. It's like a western acid trip

Never seen the movie, but I love the quote on the the cover: "If you're great, "El Topo" is a great picture. If you're limited, "El Topo" is limited" lol

theres been a thread on the director.people think they're great drug movies, i think thats pretty limited.. i get alot out of them particularly his earlier fando and lis but el topo is really fantastic.

I'm a huge fan of both El Topo and Holy Mountain!

He's finally starting work on another movie, his original plan for a gangster movie called king shot was scrapped because he couldn't get funding, and he's making a direct sequel to El Topo called Son of El Topo that's being financed by some 'russian investors'. Although I doubt it will ever get released, as he's had major money problems for decades.

wow, how strange. i was seriously just about to watch el topo. the dvd is sitting right next to me. weird man. good film.

I've never done any drugs, but I still enjoyed the movie.
