I just saw this thing tonight and I am psyched about it. It is a must have for me as it is right up my alley of what I like. Might not be an old skool dj's dream, but for me who lives in the digital realm it's like a giant caek with all my fav. toppings.

Pros- Plenty of easily accessible controls, Has mouse/xy pad, toggles for file browsing & fx control, 2 scenes (color coded),

Very awesome graphical midi programmer (highlight a button in the software, and assign midi cc), can be used for synths and programming in addition to dj functions (wheel is programmable), looks neat, aluminum sides and base, very ergonomic, built in audio interface with digital out, usb powered, works with midi learn.

Cons- Loop/one shot buttons may be too small for ppl with big hands (not an issue for me, i actually prefer small and close together), No typical crossfader, "Crossfader" is meant to be assigned to a knob (though you could assign it to xy pad), Pitch controller may be a bit awkward, price would make it seem easier for people with lower budgets to get numerous cheaper controllers instead.

Before you judge too much, watch the video. it is one of the better product review videos I've seen for any music market.

Having stated that, it seems to be very well built and like it can take a beating. Not to mention lightweight, super portable, and yes in a way, 2 decks and a mixer in light packing situations.

Watched the vid. Neat ideas, but it's total BS to shell out $1000 for one. You'd have to buy 2 of them to control all 4 decks in traktor. $2000? fuck that. The whole reason ppl are going digital nowadays is because its easier to gig with and its cheaper than buying tables and vinyl. I bought an akai mpd24 for $160. Setting it up to work with traktor was a process that evolved over time, but I can control all 4 decks in traktor with ease now. I don't even need to use headphones to cue with it, and I can do shit with traktors fx section that you couldn't do with 4 of these things.

well i see it in addition to other stuff. Like sliders, pads, and a kb...in addition to still having your laptop right there.

Agreed though the price is disappointing. However a lot of stuff like this goes down in price and that's (hopefully) their MSRP and people like novamusik will be able to pull off 799 street which could trickle down to 550-700 ebay which i think is decently reasonable. BUt yeah if these things were around 500 dollars street they would be a much much sweeter package.
