Wasn't there a mix called 'Is It Washable?' by Vlari? Also, I think the percussion sounds like the super-enhanced sound of a ping-pong ball bouncing around inside an empty oil drum.

It could be "possible". Sibilants can sound different through a ring modulator.

This is true, but I find it hard to picture a 'P' sound becoming a 'W' sound, even with a ring.
