Apple's iPad

So the buzz has become deafening that this thing will launch like in the next 90 days with a 10.5" diagonal touchscreen, support for hi def video, ebooks, app store etc etc. I'm wondering if it will run any OSX applications and if any of our beloved music artitsts who are ardent apple supporters will incorporate it into their live shows. Should be cool to see how this evolves after launch.

there will be tv shows, movies, books & subscriptions to magazines. the itunes store will envelop the world. seriously.

the ipod and iphone were both game changers and this will prove to be no different. with 3g capabilities, it will be limitless.

they have taken their time with this because its not going to be an iphone with a big screen and its not going to be a laptop with a small screen. its going to create a new genre of portable entertainment devices.

with net-books and computing in general becoming more cloud oriented pure storage/power are becoming smaller factors in what people want and expect from portable devices.

I would get one, but I think for taking notes in class I would want a USB keyboard to attach to it.

nah, thats the direction the imacs are going. they will have that be your main entertainment hub with a version apple tv built in.
