Acidburp - 1844

This is an old one I'm trying to do something with. I've fixed the drums so they sound much better. But not sure where to go from here, like make it longer or what?

nice one! not sure what else you could add though, maybe a bonkers bassline on top of that short beat segment, i really don't think it needs to be a whole lot longer, it feels more like a avril 14th "in between" type of track. or possibly an intro / outro track.

love the title aswell.

mighty pad-ish thing, i love that. drowns out the pseudopiano a bit, but that might be intended. i dont really care for the drums sounding that, well, natural. the editing is great tho. oh my fucking great break! i love that shepard tone thing, havent heard that in a while. nice track. since this is a wip, will you post the finished one or is it going to a label?

Cheers mate. Yeah I didn't think it needed to be extended, was just curious what others thought though. Will maybe add some more shit to it, the drums are so much better than the original version but I reckon I can do better.

thank you. do you mean the drum samples sounding 'natural'? not sure what you mean.

I'm hoping to get enough tracks together to send to some net labels and see if they will release it. But I may upload the finished result, though knowing me, It won't sound much different than this.

Surprise break maneuver, along the lines of speak quietly and carry a big stick. Makes me think of something solemn going on and people being noisy somewhere nearby and someone going quietly up to the loud people and then really freaking out, and then walking away quietly again.

Great outro. I think it's fine how it is! If you did want to extend it, really juice it, maybe extend the padish parts before and after the break and make the break a bit longer and a bit crazier- really fill all the spaces and make it grind a bit more. But it's great!

Drums sound a little low in the mix, snare is a bit papery. Nice guitar notes. I really liked that brief muted chord strum at :29. GREAT drum programming...wow. Love that pad as soon as the breakbeat leaves.

All in all, some pretty good ideas. However, where I think you could improve is making your song structure a bit more varied. You probably know all the little details of the track better than me, but it sounded a bit stagnant (apart from the drums) at times. If I were you, I would think about adding a melody with a very distinct timbre to separate from the rest of the pads, or maybe some crazy samples. Something to carry my attention besides the drums. But I liked it.
