bossman
I'm trying to connect a yamaha an200 to my computer in order to use the software editor.. I'm running windows98SE on a macbook via VirtualBox, have XGworks lite running the an200 editor, but have been troubleshooting my ass off to get it to talk to the synth. I'm hoping there are some glaring "connecting machine A to software editor B" issues that some of you ekt's can help me with, and this isn't some VirtualBox roadblock I've come up against. thanks ps. first time connecting machine to receive/transmit midi data with computer, so no suggestions are too asinine Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/52035-software-editors/ Share on other sites
Brandi_B
what interface are you using for the midi. You should be able to find a drop down box for the midi ports within the editing software's options or settings menu. Brandi_B
yeah if you are just using one midi in/out then any cheap midi interface will do. Just make sure it's compatible before buying it :) There's a lot by m-audio, emu, etc on the market. I wouldn't pay more than 50-50 dollars for one. And you should be ale to get something like the emu 1x1 for around 25-30 dollars. I recommend sticking to company names that deal with pro audio, and not knock off or store brands (ie belkin, radio shack brands, etc) Edited January 2, 2010 by Brandi_B Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/52035-software-editors/#findComment-1201983 Share on other sites
