Ezra Jacobs - Atonotoop

The audiovisual project by Ezra Jacobs & Bas van Huizen, "Atonotoop", is completed and is now available on DVD-R. The audio-part of the piece, done by Ezra, was written specifically for a 192-speaker wavefield synthesis system and has a strong focus on spatiality. Bas then illustrated the textural and spatial characteristics of Ezra's piece with visual material, resulting in a 40-minute audiovisual work.

hey R, it's stereo-format -- so, there is no 5.1 mix.

i made recordings of the output of the 192-speaker system with binaural (in ear) microphones, and those are the recordings that ended up on the album. so it's all vanilla 2.0 stereo, although the spatial character of the original 192-speaker tracks is retained fairly well because of the binaural recording process.
