chim
Really like the track, excellent pads and atmosphere. Nice use of sidechaining as well. the drum parts felt kinda flat. It felt kinda muddy after the 1:15 mark Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/52163-warm-hologram/#findComment-1205077 Share on other sites
Salvatorin
I really like the artwork you included with this one, it fits the music exactly. This reminds me of nights that I have been on the overlook of Fairbanks, looking out onto the tiny, isolated metropolis that it is. The drums are respectably lo-fi. You are becoming one of my favorite producers here in ekt. I just like the way you do things, very textural and such. I like the minimal, hissing snare. Oooh, when the groove picks up a little and that ostinato synth comes in, I really like that. I like how the ambient textures are now being used in a breath in, breath out fashion. For a second you had something that REALLY appealed to me with the breathing, but that was only a short part. I like the transition at 3:34, it was subtly perfect. Okay its kind of riding on its own steam at this point, but good, 4:34, you faded it out right as it was getting redundant. I'm loving the minimal droney nature of this ending. Wow this track is awesome. A++ Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide Salvatorin's signature Hide all signatures Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/52163-warm-hologram/#findComment-1205873 Share on other sites

Guest A/D
the pads are gorgeous - rich in pleasant overtones. the drums never click for me - i feel like you're close to something, but somehow on the outside of it.. i would take out a lot of the highs and give them some subtle smoothing verb. very nice track, well composed. Guest tompty
hey, i really like the tracks you have up on your site, you need to get yourself signed. any chance of writing a small bit on what you used on this song / production techniques? namely, how did you get your pads to sound so immense Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/52163-warm-hologram/#findComment-1207574 Share on other sites
Guest quadramoray
thank you for listening. There are several layers of effects (around 20 I think) and I typically use alot of reverb. there's also some sidechain compression. one of my favorite reverb vst plugins is anwida soft DX reverb light.
