After nearly 6 years of relative quiet, one of IDM's most highly regarded producers, Casino Versus Japan, has broken the silence with a re-issue of his classic self-titled debut on Moodgadget. An intoxicating collection of 22 tracks that harken back to the early days of IDM, and derive from the core of what makes Kentucky-based Wisconsin-native Erik Kowalski's music so unique and appealing. Oh... bummer! I just assumed it would be a cd release, oh well. Guess I'll wait for the comp on Attack 9 and hopefully a new album from him this year.

i'm trying to get the funds to press the 2xLP, its a pricey venture with art, the CD might be available soon only thru Amazon, i'll keep you posted

i think the funds problem could be remedied with a preorder. i'm know i'm not the only one that would pay early for a chance at this on vinyl.

there have been a lot of requests for it over at the ISO50 blog - http://blog.iso50.com/2009/12/19/casino-versus-japan-reissue/. it might help to make a few more.
