yeah this looks goooooooood. I've preordered the book + vinyl pack from norman records, I loved where they were going with 13 blues and that track sounds good so I'm PSYCHED

Their earlier releases we're MUCH better.

i like the first 3 albums much much better, but this new track sounds pretty good so i am hopeful.

i disagree. horses and 13 blues were immense. 13 has the ability to make me cry. powerful shit.

You reckon? as I tried their earlier stuff and came out preferring 13 Blues more. Although the early ones DO have their moments imo

i love the fact that "he has left us alone..." was more or less written for efrim's dog who died of cancer. with that in mind, it is a powerful listen.

i can't listen to 'this is our punk rock' anymore as my dog hates it and thinks someone is in the house when it starts up and freaks out

Pretty stoked to see these guys next month. Looking forward to getting this next week, wasn't quite as keen on the rockier elements of 13 Blues as their more 'chamber' sound, but it was still a decent record.

i am partial to their older stuff, but on first listen, i really like this release a lot.

for me, it is a happy medium between the older style and the newer, more "outspoken" lyrical style.

i got the CD with the artbook too. very nice. haven't listened yet, waiting for the right moment

also picked up the last tindersticks record on constellation

probably their least immediate record. really enjoying it on 15th+ listen. oddly the track i like best is the last song.

they played mostly new tracks at the show the other night. "i fed my metal bird the wings...", the 3 kollaps tracks, and "there is a light", which was awesome. i wish they would've played "could've moved mountains", my favorite asmz track, show was still awesome though.

fans of this (most likely know but) should enjoy the last vic chesnutt album 'at the cut'. starkly honest songs and some asmz people on it too. i wish someone had told me to check it out when they toured
