The idea of building an underground room (audio studio) in my mothers (fairly big) garden for me to live in?

Honestly, I wonder how many people have actually done this.. Obviously the only limits are avoiding plumbing/pipes but I expect after X feet, there's nothing but dirt. I don't know about rock.

I'm in the UK and we rarely have basements, I'd be in there if there was.

I have the potential, but I'd need a lot of convincing that it's the right thing to do. I wonder if it will increase the value of the property.

crazy thing is, I started this with a friend, however, it was into the side of a hill with clay-like soil. We dug for a combined maybe 10 hours and got a lovely cave which is about standing height. WE are going to expand and maybe put in a studio.

It's a shit idea and you'll never go through with it, and it will cost more money than you think, and your mum will either not let you do it or just be infinitely disappointed in you, which is worse, and if you actually somehow create this underground lunatic box
