Guest ryanmcallister
Here's one I did yesterday. Lush analog pads and an overdriven 303. Might have enough tracks for a little acid ep soon... LP1Acid325 Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/52339-ryan-mcallister-lp1acid325/ Share on other sites

futureimage
Aw man, Jaffa got it right with hitting the spot, this is awesome. Perhaps develop and extend it a little more? Guest ryanmcallister
might do that, i'm not sure if this maybe calls for some breaks or not...i'll have to experiment. i might build it up a bit more with them before dying off at the end...although i might want to keep it purely analog sounding with the linn drum and whatnot. thanks for checking it out though. Guest ryanmcallister
fuck you sneaks. jk, i respectfully disagree though, i quite like the slow development in this one. Guest Otto Krat
Isn't there a bit too much of compression? Or is it only the gate that gives me this impression? Anyway, good stuff. Guest ryanmcallister
well the pad that you hear at the beginning has a gate that gets turned on halfway through the song. the gate is sidechained (neat little ableton gate function) to the 303 line so that whenever the 303 is playing the gate opens to let the pad through, giving it that trance gate sound. there isn't any sidechain compression in this song if that's what you think you are hearing. thanks for listening!
