using a wireless laser optical mouse in fl 9

the fucking cursor sometimes either doesn't want to move, gets stuck on a knob while tweeking, letting the mouse click go and the knob spins when moving the mouse, the cursor is jerky when trying to move it, another thought is, clicking the menu - thinking the last change you made and want to save - got the menu to drop down then you try to click save and you can't unless you jerk the mouse around on your desk, then save works.

what is the deal? is my cpu frying it can't be the hard drive cos i installed a new one and i've got plenty of ram 4gb to be exact. my vid card is onboard.

another thing to mention is i've got a studio rta mixstation desk and my tower is underneath the desk and the mouse usb stick is plugged in behind the pc.

other than all that i have no idea what could be the problem. tech solutions needed. i am going to buy a new cpu less than a couple months from now either way cos i use cubase 5 and there's no prob with the cursor doing what it's doing there.
