hehe this is true, the last bond film was crappy so it's not exactly that big a lose. but i'm just over 3d already. for bullshit nothing action movies its alright, but i'm not into the ideas of them sliding it into everything :F

It's just bizarre the market of 3D films. How much of it's success is made by the consumer, and how much is it manufactured by holly wood? The consumers in the end are the ones that pay for the 3D films and make them succeed, but at the same time at the theater there could easily be an "expensive wine" effect where because they spent more for the 3D film afterwords the viewer tells themselves they enjoyed it more because of it's 3D moments. Even if there is real enjoyment from those moments created by something other than cognitive dissonance, it's likely from no more than the gimmick factors. Holly Wood obviously eats up the success of 3D films because that means holly wood can make more while smaller companies can't afford the equipment creating the usual Holly Wood budget monopoly.

3D films are cool and all but I'm too cheap to pay for regular theater tickets already. I'll just keep watching Netflix DVDs on my CRT TV.

Pretty sure 3D isn't a gimmick, I quite enjoyed my outdoors adventures today looking at everything in glorious 3D!. As the technology improves (faster frame-rates etc)... 3D will become standard, and you'll be laughed at for ever enjoying content in dull flat 2D.

wat with the mendes hate. road to perdition was decent, the only problem I have with that film is Tom Hanks, and he's more tolerable in it than usual.

I just want Martin Campbell back. Casino Royal was not just a good James Bond-movie - in itself it was actually a good movie.

Even after Avatar I still think 3D is gimmicky shit.

its hard to say but there were moments in Avatar where I could see how in a few years with some advancements in technology and technique how you could feel a lot more like you were inside the scene. 3D could make movies in the near future really realistically intense or could just end up being a gimmicky thing that never becomes what it could be.
