how to get started with the whole self modding/circuit bending thing

not so much circuit bending but im super keen to do an audio to filter mod on an sh101 but i have no idea where to start i actually have no experience i guess i need to buy soldering equipment other than that i have no clue.

also has anyone ever made a dmx krew sh101 accent box?

I've been thinking about circuit bending my gameboy for a while now

I learned to solder by watching a video on instructables and then trying it out with some pieces of wire.

look up instructions for the mod you want to do and figure out how much you need to learn... there are a lot of good diying/bending info links on here.

you need a soldering iron and some solder. doesnt have to be an expensive one. options are gas powered iron (no cable) or electric iron (power cable)

the iron gets hot so make sure you dont touch your body or anything combustible with it and keep it away from the power cable.
