does anyone remember that creepy website?

it was posted here a few years back i think, was curious to see if anyone did it and what it was (promotional, scam, etc.)

if i remember correctly it was a pretty plain black website with some very omnious secretive name, and you were supposed to answer this large form and submit it,

does anyone remember this, or am I hallucinating?

it was really bare bones, it didn't tell you anything, but had a prompt where it was like

"Submit your phone number and location; you will be contacted by a (sitename) representative within 24 hours. Be prepared to follow the instructions, as you are not able to remove yourself from the system."

something really crazy like that...and it seems creepier than a normal scam because they asked for locations and numbers, not credit cards or email.

i remember that site. it was part of a viral campaign for roland emmerich´s shitty "2012" flick. There was a similar "District 9" website.

was it really? what was the name of the company in the film?

I think the website was more vague when it was still building up to the film release, but after that they changed the site to make it more clear
