Freeform thread

search yielded no such thread, so here we go!

about two weeks ago i bought freeform's album, human, and fell in love! any love for freeform out there? if yes, any recommendations of what to explore first? so far, the self-titled track is my favorite if that helps at all. fucking fantastic!

Freeform is brilliant. if i had to pick a favorite, it's nearly impossible, but maybe Human

is the best.

i hope he comes out with a new album this year (on warp)

Someone mentioned Freeform yesterday in another thread...and it reminded me to give what I have another listen. So I meant to listen to Human today, but I forgot. I've heard that one and Condensed, but probably only once each, at least a year ago.

That said, those YouTubes aren't doing much for me. The showreel is definitely cool, but it's not a cohesive piece of music to get a feel for. I'll just play Human tomorrow and see what's up. I gave it 4/5 stars on RYM back when I first heard it, so it can't be bad.

Well, I just got done playing Human. And really, I don't see why I gave it 4 stars in the past, it was ok but didn't really do that much for me. I enjoyed the first track the most, the rest was a little lacking in melody for me. I could grow, no doubt, but I don't know if I feel like giving it more of my time. It's not bad, don't get me wrong, it just doesn't excite me. Is this considered his best album?

No, I think 'Greenpark' is his best record, closely followed by 'Audiotourism' and then 'Me Shape', 'Human', 'Outside in', and 'Pattern Tub'...

woops, i kind of made a thread and forgot about it... now i'm following it heh. i loved human so much i went and nabbed greenpark too. it's growing on me, though i don't quite like it as much yet. looking forward to hearing condensed and audiotourism!

jesus christ green park is fantastic! i loved human, but can definitely see how this is a much better album as a whole. can't wait to listen to the rest of the batch!
