The Day America Died

Recommended Posts

wow. That democracy stuff is such a headache.

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

what's funny about this to me is that corporations already find a multitude of ways to use loopholes or get around the laws to influence elections, a big example is mainstream television media channels: cnn, foxnews, msnbc, nbc, abc. This supreme court ruling is merely putting an official stamp on what is already rampant and totally out of control

This is fucking retarded... seriously. What the fuck? They need to do the OPPOSITE! Limit market influence on politics, not promote it.. What the fuck... I'm all about the free market, but not in regards to public service. They already answer to the highest dollar, and look where that got us, now they loosen the restrictions on it?! For fucks sake.

The Supreme court ruled this as a free speech issue and that restricting corporations from funding campaigns would be obstructing their free speech. This is I agree with. What I don't agree with however is how corporations can be classified as people under the 14th amendment. If individual human beings acted in the manner that corporations act, they would be thrown into prison.

Here's a quick essay that argues how under the DSM corporate entities would qualify as psychopathic: http://www.zerowaste.ca/articles/column196.html

  Quote
Using the World Health Organization’s checklist for personality types and the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Bakan concludes the corporation is a psychopathic personality. A corporation has a callous unconcern for the feelings of others; an incapacity to maintain enduring relationships; a reckless disregard for the safety of others; a pattern of deceitfulness; an incapacity to experience guilt; failure to conform to social norms with respect to lawful behaviour. This is the institution that we allow to govern all aspects of our lives.

did you even read the article?

Hours after the ruling, President Obama responded, saying the court has given "the special interests and their lobbyists even more power in Washington -- while undermining the influence of average Americans who make small contributions to support their preferred candidates."

In a statement, he said he is telling his administration "to get to work immediately with Congress on this issue. We are going to talk with bipartisan congressional leaders to develop a forceful response to this decision. The public interest requires nothing less."

"The Supreme Court has given a green light to a new stampede of special interest money in our politics," Obama said. "It is a major victory for big oil, Wall Street banks, health insurance companies and the other powerful interests that marshal their power every day in Washington to drown out the voices of everyday Americans."

sounds to me like he could be describing his own 'stimulus' and health insurance plan.

the only time Obama talks badly about wall street is in the moment when it is politically popular to do so, and quickly turns the other way when its not

Lobbyists have a hold on everyone, and Obama is hardly alone. With very few execptions (people like Kucinich or Ron Paul, arguably) all of congress will be happy as hell about this and take advantage of this ruling. Dems just cover up corporate donations better than Republicans, who don't even try.
