Good Acid Compilations

I noticed that most of the few acid house compilations(or related) that I put my hands on usually aren't as good as I would expect them to be.

I think I understood than most of the early 90s acid is never be as good (in my opinion) as afx and ceephax when they do their kind of acid.

But still, I am looking for good comps, and most of what I've found until today as disappointed me. I don't know, may be I've a problem with "proper" acid, because for example I downloaded the 20 "best acid tracks" chosen by DMX krew for Fact mag and didn't like most of them, although dmx taste can't be suspected.

But I still want to try, so, go on with recomendations(full albums by an artist accepted also).

Just like any genre, you're going to have to sift through the cack. I like the classic 80's- early 90's shit though. well some, not all. To me however, ceephax, afx, & vibert are all a step above acid wise. i hate acid with randomy 303 lines that sound like no effort was made to make them other than a battery removal. none of the aforementioned artists do so (or if they do, they cover it up well by editing the pattern afterward), as they program with a purpose (not saying they are perfect, and haven't had some happy accidents). i am in no condition to be typing. i'll continue this in some hours.

Was curious about that list from EDMX, found the article online:

I'm quite enjoying reading the comments he makes about each track

I enjoy the fragility of the rolling lol tbh. The broken lol is like our own mortality staring us in the face, reminding us to enjoy that sunset.

cosign whoever said 'Acid: Can You Jack?'. Most of the essentials are there, if you don't like it then you probably don't like acid house

Yeah I just got it, but right know I am listening to josh's wink mix and it's pretty good.

You don't need to post it in the acid topic so i am aware of it.

I used Pinch of Salt in all my mixes long before you composed it. Most of the girls are crazy for it here in Paris.
