Ive been looking out for a any new tracks by you. You always seem to know what youre talking about.

Have to say though Im a little disappointed in this track. Maybe its because it was recorded live without any quanz I dunno. How many times did you play it over before pressing record? Or did you just record a massive long mix and cut out your favourite bars.

also, what DAW you using?

haha well knowing what i'm talking about and making decent music are two different things i guess lol. i rocked out a bit to the drum line to find the synth line I liked, then I hit record and grabbed it in one shot. i don't think the timing is that bad...laid back for sure for feel, but not out of time (other than 1 note that hit a bit late...but in the spirit of live feel i left it that way). nice to know you are looking out for music by me though. i appreciate the listener.

this was made in ableton with one instance of EzDrummer for the drum kit and an instrument rack layered with a couple instances of massive for the synth. pretty basic really. sometimes i use other daws though when i want a different creative workflow (Cubase, Numerology, Renoise, etc.) but most of my stuff is done entirely in ableton.

No no I wasnt saying that it was out of sync. Maybe its just a taste thing. I really liked the drums though.

definitely intended to be loud and in your face. i actually disagree, the mix kicks ass if you get your subs in there and everything (depends on the speakers). for example, if you listen on laptop speakers, you kinda miss the point... the drums are supposed to be over compressed for artistic effect (ie. i wasn't trying to make them sound "real" like in a rock album). i actually am pretty humble about most of my stuff and the critique people would give me, but on this one i feel i nailed it and i fucking love it and anyone that says anything bad about it is going to be in disagreement with me. it's really just a taste thing for some. thanks for checking it out though.

hmm I don't mean to be harsh but it sounds like it's something anyone with a copy of a daw could come up with pretty quickly. I guess I did like the way the synths sounded, but it's really not my kinda music.

i whipped it up pretty quick, it's nothing extravagant, i just have been digging headbashing to it. not everything has to be crazy fast breaks and complex sequences. i was a little hesitant about posting this here, but i figured some of you people have tastes other than 808's and 303's...totally get it if it's not your thing though, just wrong piece for the wrong crowd maybe.

well it's either too much or not enough compressed if you ask me. it should be obvious that the overcompression is intended, like in autechre for instance.

it shouldn't be anything...it is what it is there aren't any guidelines.
