Guest Fishtank
http://shanghaiist.com/2009/05/29/fly_my_pretties_fly.php Quote What’s causing these wing-like appendages is still a mystery, but theories have been aplenty since the first incidence of winged cats appeared in Sichuan. Cat owners there reasoned that the province's hot summer spell and a stressful love life for their felines were causing wings to appear. Scientists were not convinced. Guest maus
these people make food with cardboard in as well as highly toxic toys. taken on its own, this really shouldn't be a surprise. the presence of other examples throughout history in other geographic locales does seem worrisome, though. cats are already pretty wily... having them become airborne might tip the scales of the food chain against us. Guest Glass Plate
Animal mutations in general are very common (rare over all, but have been happening for ever) and I don't think this has anything to do with pollution or waste. Haven't you people been through the Ripley's archive? The sheer number of 2 headed animals, siamese twins etc., genetic mutations simply happen. This thread just shows what a lot of people on watmm think of first when they think about China..
