He's as biased and manipulative as any politically motivated documentary maker.

Wether or not he's still relevant depends on what your other sources of information are.

For me he often brings something new with his documentaries which often entices me into exploring a certain subject a bit further but you have to take his films with a grain of salt etc.

i dont know, hes relevant depending on what your politics are. and everything concerned with politics these days is mostly depressing. especially depressing, in fact. full of failed dreams and false hopes. is he still behind obama like he was?.... fuck, im not

I have a friend who worked on one of his movies. Apparently MM took her clearly labeled pie out of a communal fridge and ate it.

i feel like he lost relevancy after he told people to vote for John Kerry in the 2004 election. and then started bashing Ralph nadar and other third parties, totally going back on his old pledge to 'not vote fore the lesser of two evils because your still voting for evil' i liked Moore until he tried to win too many points with democrats/democratic party

i miss his more independent passionate liberal spirt.

edit: and yeah Michael's love for Barack Obama was questionable, made me loose a lot of respect for him for not putting Obama's feet to the fire at all until like 2-3 months ago when he announced his Afghanistan plan. IT was literally the first 'anti' obama policy article i had seen from him ever

i wouldn't be surprised if he got bought out by somebody or just has contractual and other obligations now to hold different viewpoiints. he is WAY more sanitized and generically democrat than he was at any point in his past. Maybe he's just depressed apathetic about politics like everyone else? who knows but i remember in Bowling for Columbine he was VERY hard on Bill Clinton in fact he even called him 'the greatest Republican president we've ever had' he hasnt said anything even close to that about Obama, giving him mostly a free pass.

yeah, this is probably right. and why it turns into an obama discussion too...

i remember thinking obama was bullshit and all that but i wanted to believe that he could be the start of change cause things were so bad... fuck, he shouldve had more balls. as an administration and as a man.

Michael Moore was relevant to me when I was a immature, impressionable teenager. He's a glorified agit-prop film maker and nothing else. In an ideal world, he would stuck with low-key acting after Roger and Me.

His last film criticized and dismissed capitalism YET he produced it with money from a major corporate studio, released it for profit in thousands of theaters, and then he applied for a tax break in his economically devastated home state. Fuck him and ever idiot who takes him seriously.
