jesus man, i mean, i tried listening to it, but right now I'm just not in the mood for it.

i feel you. i grew up getting stoned by myself and sitting in the dark with 200$ headphones listening to music. so the music i make is kind of meant for that experience. total immersion.

anyway i'm being psychotic in this thread, just entertaining myself. i hope nobody takes any offense to it or adjusts their opinions of "vamos scorcho" based on things i've typed here. i think any self proclaimed serious artist/musician can relate to the way i feel though. it's pointless posting things like this on this forum. i need to move to new york and perform this shit live for the intellectuals.

if you haven't heard my other release you should check it out. it's more easy on the ears, and it's gotten praise from random people around the internet. however it hasn't caught on around here whatsoever, and there is little chance of it getting pressed unless i do it on my own (which I'm preparing to do at the moment). i think people see the music on this board and think, "amateurs making stuff and posting." i don't consider myself an amateur at this point. of course i've been an amateur (i've been making music since I was 10), but i think i'm getting closer to the point that my music will be "released by a label to the art crowd." whatever that means. basically, as an "art music maker," in 2010, things are getting quite difficult in terms of getting your music out there. there is too much, and people don't have the patience to listen to things unless it catches their attention immediately ("people" as in, people such as those who surf this forum).

i stand behind wolf blue in confidence, and look forward to the day i can listen to it on vinyl.

wont lie, only entered this thread because i saw "doga" in the title. fucking ridiculous it is (for those that don't know: dogs + yoga = doga... and it's for real). i'll report back!

jesus christ just finished the third track... this stuff is cool but it's kind of like swallowing a bucket full of bolts -- it doesn't feel natural. i like when things mellow out, but the loud parts are too loud and don't give you enough to hold onto. it kind of sounds like a collage of sampled material? how much of it is original material and how much is sampled? there were a ton of spots in six i thought were super nice, but they jump into other melodies/beats with no warning and it doesn't flow well (some of the transitions are great, though). i'm sitting in a room, alone, with $189 headphones so tell me what i should be looking for.

oh, by the way... how long did this album take you to put together?

gave doga a listen. was expecting something a bit grating and abrasive i suppose from the previous comment, but i enjoyed it a lot. a really great seamless experience. bunch of awesome ideas condensed into 30 minutes, i dig it.

i hope hiphop in the future sounds like this

nice! that's excellent. that makes one or two people that don't turn it off after 30 seconds, and at least one that's made it all the way through and actually enjoyed it and perhaps got out of it what i meant for them to. that's all i need, just to know that someone out their appreciates the months of work i put into trying to make the ultimate form of psychedelic entertainment.

the idea is that you can listen to it and not get bored - if you can get over the transitions i swear it could be a treat for the mind, with all that's happening it could be considered short attention span music.

now that this is done i'm beginning work on a new album
