Hey there... Well, this is the fifth release from Àsino Elettronico label, trying to bring on some different sounds.

Abadroza is truly a unique acid artist. As the cover on his first album suggests, it is a collection of 100% hardware-based, computer-free, live improvised work. No Effects sticks to a retro feel and pure 303 tones, yet it sounds rather futuristic.

Seemingly focusing on danceable constructions, it's originally intended for solitary listenings and invasion of your mental places.

I thought overall this was a very solid collection of tracks. 'Dark' and 'Window' were my favourites. Definately has an early 90s vibe throughout to my ears anyway that I particularly enjoyed getting nostalgic about.

what is a 'pure' 303 tone? having the entire mix dry sounds a bit 'pointy' imo. and i know acid, well.

^ yeah, you've got it right, the "pure 303" was Abadroza's idea (of course, this isn't meant for some deep-level thinking ;-) ) that is also behind the albums name "No Effects".

no effects isnt fun though. just sounds pretentious.
