oh man congrats fred my boy.

i went after 3 years of no checkup, the lady was a real bitch (not the real doctor, the nurse or whatever that pokes the fuck out of your teeth)...apparently i need to floss a bit more, had some bad plaque buildup here and there, i started to get real nervous (this was during my heavy smoking period btw),

the real doctor comes in, checks for like 5 minutes, and says "no worries, you have great teeth"

was probably the happiest day in recent history for me.

I just went to the dentist for the first time in 3 years and had my first cavity.

I never thought I'd see the day. :wtf:

yes, congrats indeed!

I haven't been since the 90's and have never had a cavity, have all my wisdom teeth so when I do go.....

I am not expecting good news....

The Dentist will probably yell at me....

Congrats to your dick for getting some tooth-fellatio tonight, Fred.

I haven't been to the dentist since 2003 or 2004 because I can't afford dental insurance. It terrifies me to think of what they might find. I'm not in any pain, so that is good, right?

i haven't been to the dentist in about 11 years, never had any problems with my teeth, until recently when a piece of my tooth just came off for no apparent reason. i should go ..

my teeth are suprisingly shit. i think some people are just prone to having shit teeth - i brush and floss the fuck out of mine twice daily, yet they are still increasingly yellow and borderline gingivitis-y. yuck. yet one of my friends - who has perfect teeth - hasn't been to the dentist since he was a kid and literally laughed at me when i told him that i floss. and we eat the same shit.

basically fuck teeth

Guest hahathhat

the dentists want me every six months. i go every year or two. i brush twice daily and floss weekly.

the only time i ever got a cavity, i figured it out for myself and made an appointment before it got bad.

still nice to know i can go there if i need to....

Yeah I'm like your friend. I never floss, often only brush once a day, and have never had a cavity. They're still pretty white too. I have no idea how it happens, I guess I'm lucky.

I do go to the dentist about once a year.

good genes is how it happens. i'm blessed with those kind of teeth too. however, i lost the genetic lottery on numerous other things... it evens out.

I decided today that the state (healthiness, colour and form) of your teeth may be hereditary. AKA the stereotypical English teeth.

I consider myself to have relatively good teeth and haven't been to the dentists in what must be almost ten years now. Recently I have experienced some sensitivity around my molars so I probably do have a cavity (which would be my first).

I'm not kidding, it must be ten years since I last went to the dentist. Which I recognise is pretty bad.

But my family have generally good thing. My sister and dad have some fillings, but not a lot. And although my sister had her wisdom teeth removed, no-one else in my family has ever had any concerns.

In England I certainly see a lot of bad teeth, but I don't believe it to be solely environmental as many cultures eat the same food and have the same level of dental care.

You see bad teeth in stereotypical backwater hicks from America...

I don't know where I'm going with this anymore.

I have great teeth and so do a lot of people in my family. So yeah, I think a lot of it is genetic and lot of it is maintenance, but genetic good teeth come from my mother who is german scottish and my bad gene teeth are my dads side who is irish italian.
