Yuop

Recommended Posts

does anyone else absolutely love this track? over the course of the last week while listening to this album on heavy rotation, i find myself sometimes zoning out after treale completes, and stay sort of entranced all the way to yuop. i get drawn back in by that soft bouncy bass that starts the track out. they sure know how to end it in style. everytime i hear this i think about machinery, like a multi-layered cog on a vertical axis that has, on every layer, a different amount of gears that dictate multiple levels of rotational motion. sort of like the inside of a combination lock, but on a much larger scale. it feels like the first few notes in every phrase are slower than say 2-3 seconds in where it is at full speed, only to wind down right at the phrase's end, like the pattern is repeating.

the tl;dr version: there is the theory of the moebius. a twist, in the fabric of space, where time becomes a yuop.

i don't think it's quite at a drane 2 or nuane level of awesome, but I may change my mind after hearing the high quality version (wonder if the high-quality cuts off abruptly too?). It is good, no doubt.

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

One thing Autechre know how to do well is close an album. Yuop is no exception, I'm looking forward to hearing it without it cutting off like that.

Absolutely breathtaking. Fantastic closer. Honestly I wish I could say more but I'm way too baked to come up with anything coherent right now.th_bongload.gif

Yeah, I love this track. Fantastic sound, somehow reminds me of some early Popol Vuh, Eroc, well the early 70s german electronic scene.

I feel like the only one on the ae board who hasn't heard the leak. Can't we just wait until march to discuss such things?

or maybe i should stay away from this part of the woods till then
