You're walking down a dark alleyway on a cold, rainy night. Somewhere off in the distance, a singer croons soulful, evocative lamentations through the ethereal fog which permeates your inner-city existence. Around the corner, you hear the sound of a bullet casing hitting the worn, broken concrete, almost as if it were happening in slow motion. Suddenly the eerily familiar, almost too familiar, clickety-clack of a lightly-syncopated drumbeat descends upon you, punctuating the rise of Mary Anne Hobbes' spectre from a nearby skip. Slowly it dawns on you that there's no way out; you're stuck in every Burial song ever made.

I like Fostercare; it seemed like he was heading for a much darker, heavy beat sound. I like his normal beats, but to be honest, I'm a little sick of them. Here's hoping for more songs in Fostercare's vein..

I really, really, like Untrue. Even though it is a bit samey throughout. There is a very distinct vibe I get from it, really alluring, seductive, and fucking cool. He'll develop his sound more for sure.

I find Vial very different, despite the similar drumset being present in Burial's other tunes. It must be the more club-friendly atmosphere, I don't know.

beautiful, needs the sound of someone using a cigarette lighter.

honestly, that sound worked really well with his first album, but already by the second one, it was stale and really boring.

I always get a Photek vibe from Burial anyway.

I love both of his records, I suppose I dig anything that successfully conjours an atmosphere. But more of the same's going to seem a bit redundant.
