Gaslamp Killer

I'm thinking of seeing Gaslamp Killer this week, because he's in town an i like what little I've heard of his.

But as for his own stuff, where do i start? Does he do EPs or Albums, or just DJ mixes?

i have looked over discogs briefly but i can't tell which is which, since alot of his releases have very vague tracklists.

Definitely go see him, he is a very talented DJ as well as possessing a stage presence unlike any other DJ I have ever seen. He plays a very eclectic bunch of stuff, from old psychedelic to dubstep and wonky, but it is all awesome. His mixes are really what makes him shine, his best two being All Killer (his mix for the Finders Keepers label) and I Spit On Your Grave. As for his original stuff, check out My Troubled Mind.

Yep, I would definitely check him out. I saw him open for Prefuse and actually enjoyed his dj set more than the Prefuse performance (the Prefuse "band" came off muddled and messy but got a little better at the end). I have a whole new respect for that guy now!

He definitely brings some infectious energy and plays a really wide variety of stuff, very entertaining. Bought a mix cd from him, nice guy too.

my roommates said he doesn't know when to shut the fuck up. he talked over half of flying lotus' set.

definitely check it out. I love all of his mixes. I didnt really like his EP that he released but his dj mixes are all killer.

worst moves I've ever seen would quite possibly be from Mary Anne Hobbes... there is a cracking one of her at Sonar on youtube doing a gunshot pose.... having fun I'm sure they are...
