I just went to my favorite cafe and ordered the grilled portobello pesto sandwich on hazelnut bread w/ extra avocado and it was "quite good."

plus it came with a pickle

then again, you probably will have to roast your own if you don't have a good selection where you live. it's not hard and (as you of all people probably know) very easy to make delicious. rosemary, garlic, pepper. whatever.

no turkey in a cuban, it's just not going to be a cuban, that's just what i have in my fridge

yeah, roast pork is integral to a cuban.

also the sauce, I think at the old deli where I worked we used some sort of fancy chipotle mix...it worked wonders, at least where we were geographically....christ i need a cuban.
